- The pneumatic servo regulating mechanism is an automatic regulating mechanism using compressed air as power source. When the control signal from the regulating instrument changes, the discharge pressure of the pneumatic positioner varies accordingly. The varied pressure, after comparison, makes the directional valve work; the compressed air then enters the pneumatic motor via the directional valve and cut-off valve to drive the stroke adjusting mechanism. The feedback rod sends the position signal back to the pneumatic positioner. When the position feedback signal corresponds to the pneumatic signal, the discharge pressure of the pneumatic positioner and the counter pressure of the directional valve achieve balance, the directional valve is closed and the stroke adjusting mechanism stops, thus realizing accurate positioning.
